August 15, 1947, the most important day in the history of India, the day when the long suppressed nation found utterance, it was the day when India got independence from the British rule. The stroke of the midnight brought with it a ray of new hope for India, as our first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru said, the world was asleep but India awoke to life and freedom. A new nation was born! Since then August 15 is celebrated as the independence day in India every year.
History of Independence
The struggle for Indian independence began with the colonizations of India by Europeans. They came to India as traders but over the period of time they rose to power took control of Indian affairs. British occupied most parts of India whereas Portuguese and French also had their influence on few places The first uprising which is noted in the history of independence of India took place in 1857. This first war of Indian independence, was termed as a mutiny by the British. Although not a success, this revolt sowed the seed for a new force, which was to take this struggle to its rightful end. As British oppression strengthened so did the urge to attain the freedom from it. This urge found voice in form of many great leaders such as Subhash Chandra Bose, Lala Lajpat Rai, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Khudiram Bose, Ram Prasad Bismil,Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel to name a few. These great patriots along with a lot unnamed freedom fighters sacrificed their lives for the cause of the nation. Independence from the British rule was the sole aim of their lives. This dream of millions of Indians was realized when finally India got freedom on August 15, 1947. The joy of independence brought along with it the grief of partition! The country was divided into two parts - India and Pakistan. Pakistan assumed August 14 as its independence day whereas August 15 was declared the independence day for India.
INDIAN FLAG Tricolor , the flag of India, is a representative of the independent Republic of India . A symbol that embeds in itself the history of India's long struggle for Independence Day, it was adopted as the national flag of India in its present form on July 22, 1947. Serving as the national flag of Dominion of India from 15th August 1947 to 25th January 1950, it thereafter became the national flag of the Indian Republic. First of all designed by Sister Nivedita, the flag of India passed through many stages before it was finally adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India as the national flag of India. The journey of Indian flag started in 1904 when sister Nivedita, an Irish disciple of Swami Vivekananda, designed the first flag for India. This flag, containing red and yellow color stripes and Bonde Mataram written on it came to be known as Sister Nivedita's flag. The next version of the India flag came in 1907, it was designed by Madam Bhikaji Cama, Veer Savarkar and Shyamji Krishna Varma and had three stripes of - green, saffron and red color. In 1916, Pingali Venkayya designed a flag with two colors and a 'charkha' drawn across them. This design was not much appreciated as the religious interpretation of the colors resulted in it being associated with only Hindu and Muslim communities. In 1917 and 1921 two other modifications of the national flag came into being the former was adopted by the Home Rule League as their official flag. Finally in 1931, Pingali Venkayya came out with another modified version for flag of India, which had three color stripes of saffron, white and green. The white color stripe in the middle had a Charkha. This flag, considered to be the representative of all the communities of India was taken as the official flag of the Indian National Congress. This flag was adopted as the National Flag of India with minor modifications- Charkha was replaced by the 'Dharma Chakra' in the middle of the white stripe. On July 22, 1947 when the flag was taken as the national flag of India, it acquired a new meaning, from the representative of the different communities of India, it became the representative of a nation. The three colors of the India flag have special significance. Topmost saffron color represents valor, sacrifice and renunciation of Indians whereas the middle white color is the symbol of purity and India's belief in peaceful co-existence while the lowermost green color signifies prosperity. A national symbol of India, Indian flag commands utmost respect from every Indian and is a binding force for all the countrymen across the globe. Some Important facts:
* The ratio of the width of the flag to its length is 2:3
* The Indian flag is made up of just one fabric, Khadi.
* When the national flag is carried in a procession or parade, as per the Flag Code of India, it shall be on the marching right or in front of the center of the line, if there is a line of other flags.
* The flag cannot be used as clothing below the waist
In our life we keep on dreaming,we live life in king size but by the time doing all this thing we should remember that what things we should follow. According to me I think life is totally based on three things which are Love, Life & Dream on..This blog totally based on this three things. We do lots of mistake in our life but I think "ONE WHO MAKES NO MISTAKES,NEVER MAKES ANYTHING".So I learned a lot from my mistakes.I am an Engineer and i know how i completed my Engineering but I learned lot of things from my mistakes.I never stopped dreaming about my future. So friends I just want to tell u all that the one who dare to dream that person only can achieve their dreams. We shall not cease from exploration And the end of all our exploring Will be to arrive where we started And know the place for the first time.Dare to dream and keep self confidence to achieve the dreams because one day u will come to know after achieving goals that u can do anything what u want in Ur life to make it best.So keep confidence in self and try to achieve the goals and keep dreaming on....
Now moving on next thing is LOVE...The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread.Gravitation is not responsible for people falling in love.Love is the only sane and satisfactory answer to the problem of human existence.Love has no desire but to fulfill itself. To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving.Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other but in looking outward together in the same direction. When love is not madness, it is not love.Let your love be like the misty rains, coming softly, but flooding the river.Love Ur partner or person who is in Ur life like see, each day I love you more Today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow.Love is much like a wild rose, beautiful and calm, but willing to draw blood in its defense.Love one another and you will be happy. It's as simple and as difficult as that.A baby is born with a need to be loved - and never outgrows it.Love is the condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.Love not only mean that u should do on Ur partner its like people who are with u like first Ur parents then all other so keep Loving and try to keep them happy....
LIFE is journey.According to me The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftLIedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.Life is Expect nothing, live frugally on surprise.Life is like a taxi. The meter just keeps a-ticking whether you are getting somewhere or just standing still.Life is like bicycle, you won`t fall off unless u stop paddling. So never stop in life just keep on walking at end you will definitely reach at point with great joy,and happiness...Enjoy the Life it`s really beautiful...!
"The Station" Tucked away in our subconscious is an idyllic vision.
We are traveling by train, out the windows,
we drink in the passing scenes of children
waving at a crossing,
cattle grazing on a distant hillside,
row upon row of corn and wheat,
flatland and valleys,
mountains and rolling hillsides
and city skylines.
But uppermost in our minds is the final destination.
On a certain day, we will pull into the station.
Bands will be playing and flags waving.
Once we get there, our dreams will come true
and the pieces of our lives
will fit together like a completed jigsaw puzzle.
Restlessly we pace the aisles,
damning the minutes - waiting,
waiting, waiting for the station.
"When we reach the station, that will be it!"
We cry. "When I'm 18." "When I buy a new 450sl Mercedes Benz!"
"When I put the last kid through college."
"When I have paid off the mortgage!"
"When I get a promotion." "When I reach retirement,
I shall live happily ever after!"
Sooner or later, we realize there is no station,
no one place to arrive.
The true joy of life is the trip.
The station is only a dream.
It constantly outdistances us.
"Relish the moment" is a good motto.
It isn't the burdens of today that drive men mad.
It is the regrets over yesterday and the fear of tomorrow.
Regret and fear are twin thieves who rob us of today.
Regret is reality, after the facts.
So stop pacing the aisles and counting the miles.
Instead, climb more mountains, eat more ice cream,
go barefoot more often,
swim more rivers, watch more sunsets,
laugh more, cry less.
Life must be lived as we go along.
The STATION will come soon enough.
Life is a journey, enjoy the ride !
Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what`s to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey`s quicker,
For some the journey`s slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We`ll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord.
